1. Guayaquil
Stay
About the destination: Guayaquil is the biggest and most populated city in Ecuador. It's situated on the western bank of the Guayas River, which empties into the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Guayaquil. The weather is typically hot and humid. Guayaquil is a very modern city and serves as the country's primary port. The oldest part of Guayaquil, Las Peñas, has been renovated into a charming neighborhood filled with art galleries, cafes, shops, bars, and restaurants. Las Peñas neighborhood is located on Cerro Santa Anna. It's a scenic neighborhood filled with colorful colonial houses. At the top of the hill, there's a lighthouse that offers stunning views of Guayaquil. The city's most famous landmark is the Malecon 2000, located on the Rio Guayas. The Malecon 2000 is a lengthy boardwalk along the river that's beautiful and packed with entertainment. In the center of the Malecon, there's "La Rotonda", a remarkable monument that commemorates the historic meeting between Simon Bolivar and Jose de San Martin to discuss independence. Other places worth visiting include Malecon Salado, Parque Historico, Cerro Blanco, and the Botanical Gardens. Guayaquil is a lively, sprawling city known as the "Pacific Pearl" due to its natural beauty and stunning surroundings. Some even argue that Guayaquil is Ecuador's top destination, though don't let Quito hear that.

About the destination: The Galápagos is a group of islands located 1,000 km away from the coast of Ecuador in the Pacific Ocean. The Galápagos consists of 13 main islands and 6 smaller ones. Santa Cruz is the most significant island in the Galápagos and is home to Puerto Ayora, the largest town in the group of islands with the most developed tourist accommodations and facilities. 3. Lima
Stay
About the destination: Lima is the capital and largest city of Peru. While many people use Lima as a gateway to Cuzco, Arequipa, or the Amazon, Lima, also known as the City of the Kings, has much to offer visitors. It's a city rich in historical sites, monumental colonial architecture, and old-world charm. The Plaza Mayor or Plaza de Armas is located in the heart of Lima's Historic Centre and is surrounded by major tourist attractions such as the Cathedral, the Archbishop Palace, and the Government Palace. At the center of the square is a fountain with a bronze statue. Jirón de la Unión, a pedestrian street that links the Plaza de Armas and Plaza San Martín, was once a prominent street where aristocrats resided. Today, it's primarily a shopping street, but as you stroll along, you'll see many beautiful colonial buildings with wooden balconies and ornate grilled windows. Lima is a city closely connected to the ocean. The Costera promenade, which runs along the city's coastline, is filled with numerous restaurants and cafes. Lima is also the best place to sample the diverse Peruvian cuisine, which incorporates a wide range of ingredients from the coast, mountains, and Amazon regions. Despite its size and chaos, Lima, with its stunning sights, delicious food, and friendly locals, is definitely worth a visit.

About the destination: Cuzco, situated in the Southern Sierras, is among the most frequented cities in Peru. It was formerly the capital of the Inca dynasty and currently serves as the entryway to the Sacred Valley and the Andean capital of Peru. Cuzco radiates charm and magnificence, and it is brimming with character. The heart of Cuzco is the Plaza de Armas, where you can discover the Cathedral and the Compañía de Jesús church, among other notable structures. The city's architecture is an intriguing blend of Spanish Colonial built on Inca ruins, and everything else is a distinctive fusion of Spanish and indigenous influences. Wandering through Cuzco’s picturesque, narrow, cobblestone streets is a source of endless fascination. Cuzco is a constant connection to the past, its streets are filled with vibrant costumes, handicraft shops, impressive Incan ruins, and local flair is omnipresent. Hatunrumiyoc is situated near Plaza de Nazarenas, not far from Plaza de Armas. It is a narrow pedestrian street, renowned for its Inca walls where massive stones are precisely carved to fit together without mud or concrete. You’ll find the masterpiece, a 12-angled stone, about halfway down the street. Cuzco is the most convenient city from which tourists can start visits to Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and other Inca sites in the region. The city’s incredible architecture and the awe-inspiring natural surroundings make Cusco a city hard to leave.
